This is a private psychology practice and the charges are billed directly to clients.
The cost of a consultation varies between $140/hr and $160/hr (in the case of a longer initial consultation, or when there is more than one attending).
We are able to claim with most private health funds on the day of consultation.
A concession rate of $110 is for:
- Holders of a current Health Care Card.
Private health funds may offer some rebates. Clients referred through, and approved by, TAC, Victims of Crime, Workcover or other specialist services will have accounts sent to the agency.
Medicare is applicable ONLY if a client is referred through a medical GP, psychiatrist or pediatrician and has a current Mental Health Care Plan in place.
We are able to refund your Medicare rebate at the time of consultation.
All counsellors at EHC are registered psychologists. This means that they have completed the requirements set by the Victorian Psychologists Registration Board (now the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency). In Australia, it is illegal for a person to call themselves a psychologist unless they hold registration with the Board. In addition each psychologist will hold provider status with Medicare, TAC, Workcover and other government agencies. All our psychologists are able to offer a wide range of psychology services.
